Minister David Fattah Jr

Minister David H. Davenport, a talented artist and entrepreneur, comes from a lineage of greatness as the sixth son of Queen Mother Falaka Fattah and the late David Fattah, Sr. from the esteemed House of Umoja. He was ordained in 1986 by the late Bishop Charles M. Majors in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Throughout his career, Minister Davenport has made significant contributions to various religious institutions. He used to be the Assistant Pastor at Thompson’s Temple of Faith Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas and now serves as the District Evangelist for the FBH Churches. He’s also an active member of Greater Enon Missionary Baptist Church, showcasing his vocal and musical talents on the Praise & Worship Team.

As David Fattah, Jr., Minister Davenport has performed across the United States and internationally. He’s traveled to countries like Iceland, Greenland, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Holland, and France as a lead vocalist with the renowned Johnny Thompson Singers. He’s not just an incredible singer but also a songwriter, performer, and musician with a rich theater background.

Despite the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, Minister Davenport explored his musical talents by teaching himself piano through online tutorials. On September 2, 2023, he proudly released his debut solo single, “When I Say, Amen,” under the Trezure Roxx Records label. This heartfelt song is Minister Davenport’s personal testimony of surrendering to a higher power, available on platforms like iHeart Music, Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube.For more than 35 years, Minister Davenport owned and ran Cafe Noir, a beloved spot known for its Southern eclectic cuisine in Philadelphia, PA. He also showcased his culinary expertise as the executive chef of Campavilla Lodge in West Yellowstone, Montana, and as the former owner of Julian’s Piano Bar and Casino in Butte, Montana.

In addition to his artistic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Minister Davenport actively contributes to various organizations. He’s on the Board of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses of Thomas E. Dorsey Convention, is a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, and was previously involved with the East Coast Union of Brothers. He’s also engaged in political activities as a member of the Democratic City Committee 48th Ward 23rd division and as a minority observer for the Democratic Party. Minister Davenport’s commitment to the community extends to his roles on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Urban Missions Board and as a Chaplain and board member of the House of Umoja, Inc.
